The Storm Ultra 3 is a versatile three-way system that excels in a variety of applications. It’s particularly well-suited for near-field main PA reinforcement and front-of-house setups with medium throw distances. Additionally, it’s an ideal choice for permanent installations in clubs and bars, whether used independently or in conjunction with a subwoofer. For larger venues, the unit can be easily suspended using its integrated M8 Flying points.
Covering an impressive frequency range from 35Hz to 18kHz, the Ultra 3 delivers powerful bass and remarkable presence. The system features two 12-inch low-frequency drivers in a horn-loaded configuration, complemented by three sealed 8-inch mid-range drivers. The package is further enhanced with three 1-inch compression drivers mounted on 60° x 80° low-resonance constant directivity horns. The addition of an angled downfill in the lower portion of the mid/high section expands the already impressive coverage area of the Ultra 3.
Crafted with precision, the cabinet of the Ultra 3 is constructed from 18mm void-free birch plywood, skilfully assembled using tongue and groove techniques. Built-in handles provide convenience, while a black powder-coated hexagonal grille offers optimal protection for internal components. The cabinet is finished with a black polyurea paint.
To power the system effectively, a robust amplifier capable of delivering 2000W (4 ohms) is required for the bass section. Another amplifier delivering 1500W (8 ohms) is necessary for the mid/high section. With its exceptional audio performance and adaptability, the Storm Ultra 3 stands ready to impress across a wide range of settings and applications.
