Engineered for tour sound, large venues, or outdoor events, the ST-218S is a powerhouse subwoofer designed to deliver exceptional performance and power. Equipped with dual Fane 18” LF drivers, each boasting a 4” voice coil, this subwoofer not only captures the nuanced detail and presence of the ST-118 models but also presents the advantage of heightened SPL output. Impressively, it maintains a continuous output of 134 dB, coupled with a remarkable low-frequency extension reaching as low as 27 Hz. Whether used individually or in multiples through ground stacking, the ST-218S offers versatility in orientation, allowing both horizontal and vertical configurations. It emerges as the ideal solution when commanding, impactful punch and faithful bass reproduction are essential.
Constructed with durability in mind, the enclosure is built from 18mm and 24mm exterior-grade, void-free birch plywood. Its robust design is further fortified by a matt black, sand-based paint finish, which provides exceptional protection for the rigours of demanding environments.
Safeguarding the front of the cabinet is a robust black powder-coated steel grille, characterized by a hexagon pattern and an acoustic mesh backing. This combination not only ensures the protection of internal components but also enhances the subwoofer’s aesthetic appeal.
The cabinet also boasts practical features aimed at user convenience. A 35mm pole mount adapter with an M20 screw fitting is included, catering to flexible mounting preferences. Shaped recesses facilitate safe stacking when combined with other ST series models, enabling efficient use of space. For effortless handling and transport, four flush side handles are thoughtfully incorporated. The rear of the cabinet houses four quick-release castor plates, allowing for easy attachment of widely available castors (not supplied). Collectively, these elements showcase the ST-218S as a subwoofer that seamlessly marries power, versatility, and practicality for outstanding performance in demanding audio environments.
